I love this place so much! But I bring amazing clothes and I try to give them what I notice they need more of and they barely will take everything and employees can be very rude there’s one super amazing black woman with beautiful braids who’s always been so kind to me. She deserves a raise. The rest of them are very rude and dry. They need to explain I think. It’s hard because I see so many people with buckets full and they take like 10 items out. And most of my stuff has barely been used since I lost weight. They need more workout clothes but won’t take the ones I give them.

Plato's is an excellent thrift store! They have a very wide selection of lightly used clothes, instead of tons of clothes that look trashed to sort through, and so many cute options. I was especially impressed at their selection of women's shoes. My teenage daughter is usually so picky and can't find anything she likes when shopping for clothes, but she chose several really flattering outfits and it only cost $83. Besides affordability, there are so many great environmental reasons to shop second hand when possible, and Plato's is the best option we've found for that in Jacksonville.

I visited this Plato's Closet location on a Saturday morning with some clothes to sell. The staff was very nice and within five minutes started going through my clothes. They explained what they accept and what they do not accept. Very clean store compared to other locations I have been too. Thank you.

If I could give this place no stars I would. This place is a huge rip off, went in one time and they were willing to pay me $35 for a Nike hoodie, 6 pairs of American eagle jeans and 2 shein shirts. Decided not to, and went home and thought about it. Came back 2 days later, brought the exact same clothes that they were gonna take that day. And they took half of that and tried to offer me $14? Don’t waste your time. I will never sell clothes to them again. It would be different if they took the same items again and offered to same or around, but to bring the EXACT same items they had as picked 2 days prior then not take it? How does this make sense

I would not recommend selling your clothes to this establishment. I took in a huge box of clothes, most new with tags or worn maybe once or twice. I waited 4 hours for them to take 11 items out of 100. Said they don’t take things from before 2020 but took shoes that I purchased in 2017. I walked around the store before hand and the clothes or shoes they had purchased from others is insane. Don’t recommend and others seem to agree!

mens section is atrocious. Every once in awhile you can find decent jeans/pants that are worth the $15/$20 price point but the shirts are always in awful condition. Literally looks like they bought from goodwill, worn a few more months and THEN traded at the store. The shoes for men are just as bad. Quality is not where it needs to be. In a city where the ratio of men to female is like 5 to 1 (Camp Lejeune, military city) I don't understand how they cant get a better selection for men.
