The people at the front were very rude, and ignored us when we approached them. After staring at them for 10 minutes the guy rudely said, “did you check in” I said yes. And he goes “ID” so rudely like he was annoyed I was standing there. Then when we told them we were bringing in more stuff they both looked so pissed off that they had to go through that many clothes. They said it would take 5 hours, and that we had to come back and pick it up before 9. I’m not even joking we brought in like 100 items, and we drove all the way back there and they picked out one thing that they liked. One singular pair of jeans. Complete waste of my time, never stepping foot near this place again. If they weren’t so rude then maybe but the people there completely ruined my experience.

Tonight around 7pm, we walked into Plato’s closet with 2 laundry basket of clothing to sell, Angelica turned around and told us that it’s to late to bringing clothes tonight and they aren’t accepting clothes and turned back around to play on her phone. Store was empty, just 2 employees sitting on their phones. Very disappointed especially because we stopped by the day before and saw few other people waiting with their laundry baskets, we were turned away because we didn’t have our items in basket. Will not be returning to the store if you call the store number and press 3, recording states no appointment necessary and store closes at 9, to make sure you bring your items 30 mins before closing. ?‍♀️ I expressed my disappointment to Angelica and she rolled her eyes and stated she didn’t care if I reported her and smiled.

This place is ridiculous. There is trash and clothes all over the floor and under the racks. None of the clothes are in the correct size order. I've been to Goodwills that were run better than this place. The employees never offer any assistance, probably because all 3 of them were too busy laughing and giggling behind the register amongst each other to actually do their job. This place should be closed down or new management needs to save it before it does.

3+ hour wait time on 7 items and refused to buy any items (brand new Nike, Vineyard Vines, Mountain Khaki, Southern Marsh, & Holister items that were all within their terms of currently accepted garments) and was denied on every item because 1 single item (a $130 southern marsh fleece) had “pet hair” on it…

COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. I wish I could give 0 stars. Went to them 4 times before they would take anything. The first time we went was last Thursday and got turned away because there were pet hairs on the items we took, which, by the way, took them an hour of them wasting out time to tell us. ONLY 2 shirts had any, and BARELY any at that. So after washing them a second time and taking them again today, they wasted 3 HOURS of our time, only to take 3 items of clothing and give us $5.57 for them. When I asked why, they said it was because of the style. The rest don't fit what they are looking for. The whole store has items that match the exact styles of what we took to them, and I know this because my girlfriend and I spent an hour there browsing through everything while they wasted our time the first time we were there. They completely lack professionalism and are far too picky with their selections even though they are selling those "styles." The other 2 times that we went, we had to go back because there were too many other drop-offs ahead of us for ours to be sorted, which is understandable, but still a complete waste of time.

Lazy employees who genuinely just make you wait hours to maybe accept one or two items. I came with a whole box of very trendy new/good condition clothes maybe 20-25 items. They took two items didn’t even look at everything and crumpled up the 2-3 items they DID look at and dumped it back into the box. I don’t know why I had high hopes considering every review had the same experience. I don’t even know how these people are employed or how this store runs. Go ahead and keep selling your 10 year old styles with stains and rips!

Just went to sell some clothes at this location and was told I couldn’t sell clothes to them because I didn’t have a reusable tote for the clothes to be in. Why does this store have to have reusable totes to sell clothes to them. Plato’s closet is scamming people for clothing. Don’t buy or sell to this company. Same people own once an upon a child too. Sad how this company is treating people.

I had no issues with this store when selling my clothes. I called ahead and the associate was friendly and provided an overall list of what they were looking for. I asked how I should bring my clothes in and they confirmed it needed to be in a container or tote bags. There are also signs at the location stating so. They bought almost a full basket of clothes and offered me a reasonable amount. All staff were professional during our interactions. If you’re in a hurry or have a long drive, I recommend calling ahead to confirm clothes preferences, wait times and what time they take their last walk in that day.
